| You'll find the New Hope Baptist Church in Abita Springs, down St. Charles St., 3 blocks from the Abita Mystery House. When we find the artist that created this sign we may get them to do some museum work. BTW - you can't tell it from the photo but the black letters are inscribed in the white plywood; the black paint looks like the letters were burned in the wood somehow. |
| We were told that the guy running the Abita Zoo has a big heart. This sign is very effective -- the black on day-glo green is neat-o. Unfortunately the zoo seems to be permanently closed. If is reopens, we will let you know. For more photos of the zoo that we took from the street, CLICK HERE. |
