John Preble lives near New Orleans in a small old resort town Abita Springs with his wife Ann O’Brien a prominent jewelry artist and their two sons. His family owns the UCM Museum in Abita Springs, an art environment that each year draws thousands of visitors from around the world. Preble’s art is exhibited in museums, homes of celebrities and the White House. He is well known for his oil paintings of Creole women. His subjects also include animals, landscapes and still lifes. As a printmaker, his black and white prints celebrate the art deco woodcut prints of the 1920s. These prints are copyrighted by John Preble and the UCM Museum Prints (images are about 7.5" x 9.5") are printed on white and cream color papers - and are available in our gift shop.
